CHOOSE STONES
Choose stones is an important phase of your project. It's obey to uses conditions and your tastes.
Tendance Pierre lead your reflexion by questionning you with right questions :
INSIDE OR OUTSIDE ?
Stones, like Corton stone, are not frost resistant in certain situations. Others are porous and don't have to be put in touch with humidity. The choice of stone the most adapted to your project is really important. You will find below some examples of stones of Bourgogne :

UNDERFLOOR HEATING ?
Stones of Bourgogne can be used in association of all underfloor heating techniques. Them density allow a good repatition of the heat and assure a good comfort.
TINGE ?
According to them origins, stones offer different tinges between white, beige and yellow.
STONES APPEARANCES BETWEEN THEM ?
Stones offer different surface against each other. Fosilised inlaying and ribbon banded create visual vibrations more or less mixed. When we want to blend those tinges, Tendance Pierre propose a colour selective sorting on certain stones.
During the laying, it's advised to mix stones to obtain best tinges, on the floor and on the wall.
FINISHED ?
Smooths or irregulars, finishes proposed by Tendance Pierre depends on the final use of stones.

Stones offer a lot of decoration possibilities, contemporary or traditional.
The aesthetic of your project depends of : choice of stones, finishes, lay techniques (without joint or marqued joints) and material (wood, raw ciment, lime...).
